On Sunday, September 7, there was a total lunar eclipse. We opened the observatory to observe this event. The event began at 7:00 p.m.
The lunar eclipse event was a complete success. We had almost 100 visitors, and thanks to the efforts of several team members and the fact that the sky was quite clear, they were able to follow the event well. Starting at 7:00 p.m., we welcomed visitors in the lecture room and gave a short explanation of the eclipse via projection.
Afterwards, visitors were taken in groups to the platform and to the T1T, which was in operation. Then visitors could continue on to the 11-inch telescope, where most questions were asked. Thankfully, there were four of us, otherwise it could have been difficult. The HR had mentioned our observatory in several broadcasts, among others... that was not planned. All in all, it was a very nice evening – thanks to the team!
